Joy Brook trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
She is probably best known for her television work, with long standing roles in The Bill as WDC Kerry Holmes and Joanne Pearson in Peak Practice. Other TV work includes Heartbeat, Band of Gold, Dalziel and Pascoe and The Thin Blue Line.
Her theatre credits include Mabel Chiltern in An Ideal Husband for The English Theatre in Vienna, Time and the Room at The Gate Theatre, Sleeping Beauty at The Palace Theatre, Watford, Minnie in Pool of Death at The Salisbury Playhouse and Philippa Hayes in A Murder is Announced at Theatre Royal, Windsor and most recently playing Rachel’s sister alongside Tony Britton in the tour of The Holly & The Ivy.
Joy took all three classes. Her talks on television technique verses theatre technique and her tips on tv auditions were extremely valuable and entertaining for the students. |
